THE CARTOON Censored POLICY journalistic genre.
By: Guadalupe Franco Cinturión.
Last March, the cartoonist for La Jornada, José Hernández, Felipe Calderon drew a sign that you can read the inscription "For the drug does not reach your children, we are killing" in reference to all those killed in the war on drugs launched by Felipe Calderón, mainly by killing the young women in Ciudad Juarez and the two students of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, as well as civilians and children, so that Calderon has taken these facts as minimal and indifferent, since they are derived from their alleged links with organized crime. After
that the board was censored in the publication National Journal, the author was announced through its Twitter account @ monerohernandez, as well as official site www.monerohernandez.com.mx Hernández. In this way, Twitter users were able to spread freely in the internet.
The cartoonist felt that he just does his job and this act was not a censure from La Jornada, as the newspaper publisher meets criteria, which described the cartoon as very strong for families who have victims of the fight against drug trafficking.
